This weeks "home" pre-season friendly moved to neighbouring village of Mowsley against Huncote 2's.
The skippers has a quick chat in the middle and it was decided that a toss wasn’t required and that Fleckney 2's would be fielding first.
It was a really good start from the opening bowlers (Max and Nilesh) keeping the scoring options limited and Nils chipping in with 2 early wickets. But from drinks onwards the scoring options got a lot easier and Huncote managed to post 204 of their 40 overs.
The highlight was Fleckney old boy Naimesh Khetia being bowled by Fleckney's legend that is Frank Smith.
Fleckneys reply didn’t get of to the best of starts with the top 3 all getting out cheaply to leave any chance of victory considerably outside of our reach, but some good defence and counter attacking by David Parker (21), Scott Roberts (19*) and Nilesh Dave (23) Fleckney batted out there overs to finish on 105/9.
